Ocean Outdoor & MC Saatchi invite the people of UK to support The Big Help Out

By M4G Bureau - May 29, 2024

The OOH campaign is appearing across Ocean’s The Loop networks in Manchester, Birmingham and Edinburgh and on selected large format screens in 10 UK cities.

MC Saatchi and Ocean Outdoor have launched a campaign encouraging the nation’s army of community volunteers to mobilise for The Big Help Out.

The OOH campaign is appearing across The Loop networks in Manchester, Birmingham and Edinburgh and on selected large format screens in 10 UK cities until and during the weekend of 7 – 9 June, giving space across more than 300 screens to support the country’s biggest ever volunteer programme which was launched last year as part of the King’s Coronation weekend celebrations (8 May).

Two thousand businesses, 35,000 charities and seven million people took part last year, supported by MC Saatchi and Ocean who gave pro bono advertising space to the initiative.

Now an annual day of volunteering and a lasting legacy of the Coronation, The Big Help Out is overseen by the Together coalition which aims to build kinder, more connected communities.

Jon Knight, Chief Executive of the Together coalition, said: “Thanks to Ocean Outdoor and MC Saatchi, more people know that whether you have a little time or a lot, whether you want to replant woodlands or restock food banks, whether you want to volunteer in-person or online, you can lend a hand and make a difference.”

Ocean Outdoor UK Chief Executive Phil Hall said: “From mental health and wellbeing, to improving your skills or bringing company values to life, the benefits of volunteering are multiple and proven. I can think of no better use of Ocean’s network of screens to encourage as many of us as possible to lend a hand in our communities.”

Ocean Outdoor UK staff will take part in a day of volunteering on 6 June, working with the Canal & River Trust in the run up to the Big Help Out and World Ocean Day which also takes place on 8 June.
