In the ever-evolving landscape of digital technology and outdoor advertising, A-Digital Screen India (ADSi) stands out as a pioneer. With a focus on providing tailored solutions for both indoor and outdoor environments, ADSi has carved a niche for itself in the industry. In an exclusive interview, Nirdesh Tyagi, Director of A-Digital Screen India, shares insights into how the company meets the unique requirements of its clients, the importance of maintaining quality standards, and the challenges faced in the market.

Understanding client needs: The first step to customisation

“When a client approaches us, the first thing we do is ask them for photos and videos of the environment where they plan to install our digital displays,” says Nirdesh. This initial step is crucial as it allows the team to assess the site conditions without physically being there, saving time and resources. Clients are asked to provide long shots, low shots, and other relevant details to help ADSi offer the most accurate solution.

“We analyse factors like visibility distance—whether it’s 5 feet, 50 feet, or 100 metres—and the height of surrounding buildings. Based on this information, we determine the appropriate pixel pitch, whether it’s for indoor or outdoor settings,” Nirdesh explains. The pixel pitch is a critical factor in ensuring that the display is visible and effective in its environment. “We then educate the client on these technical details, such as the importance of IP65 ratings for outdoor displays, which ensure the hardware is weatherproof.”

The process of customisation: Hardware and software integration

Customisation is at the heart of ADSi’s operations. “We customise everything,” Nirdesh affirms. The company not only provides hardware solutions but also offers software customisation. “Nowadays, most hardware manufacturers also provide their own cloud-based software, making it easier to integrate everything seamlessly. This eliminates the need to buy separate servers or hardware, reducing complexity and potential issues.”

For outdoor installations, weather conditions are a significant consideration. “Most of our outdoor displays now come with sensor-based technology,” says Nirdesh. “These sensors adjust the brightness automatically depending on whether it’s day or night, which not only enhances visibility but also saves power.”

Ensuring quality: A rigorous selection and testing process

Maintaining high-quality standards is a priority for ADSi. Nirdesh emphasises the importance of working with top-tier suppliers and partners. “We’ve been in this industry for 15-20 years, and our suppliers are carefully selected. We work with the top 10 companies in the field, ensuring that the products we import and assemble meet our stringent quality requirements.”

Before importing any product, ADSi conducts thorough quality checks. “We do a burn test and final inspections before importing. This ensures that the product is reliable and will meet the expectations of our clients,” Nirdesh explains. By sticking to trusted suppliers, ADSi can offer long-term warranties and reliable after-sales service, including Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs).

Challenges in the market: Competing on quality, not just price

The digital display industry is highly competitive, with many companies offering cheaper alternatives. However, Nirdesh stresses the importance of educating clients about the long-term benefits of investing in quality products. “It’s challenging to compete with low-cost products, but we make sure to explain the differences. For example, we use high-end technology from Taiwan, which, although assembled in China, offers superior durability and performance.”

Nirdesh points out that while Chinese products may be cheaper, they often lack the longevity and reliability of those using Taiwanese technology. “We make it a point to inform clients about the origins of the components we use, such as the chips and lamps, which are crucial for the display’s performance.”

Networking and partnerships: Building a strong foundation

Networking and partnerships are vital for success in this industry, according to Nirdesh. “In today’s market, it’s essential to build strong relationships with reliable partners. We regularly attend exhibitions and meet with top companies to stay updated on the latest technology and trends,” he says. This proactive approach allows ADSi to offer cutting-edge solutions to its clients and maintain its position as a leader in the market.

Summing up the company’s journey, Nirdesh proudly states, “Our company is the first in India to offer LED rentals. We started in Mumbai and have now expanded our services to Delhi and other major cities. At ADSi, we provide customised solutions for all types of digital displays, whether indoor or outdoor, and offer comprehensive services, including design, installation, and after-sales support.”

With a focus on quality, innovation, and client satisfaction, A-Digital Screen India continues to lead the way in the digital display industry, providing customised solutions that meet the unique needs of every client
