Girish Ahuja, Head of Marketing, Hamilton Housewares, has joined the Outdoor Advertising Awards (OAA) Jury for 2023.
An industry veteran, with almost three decades of experience, Girish commands deep experience in operations, sales, risk assessment, compliance and business intelligence. He has worked for some of the biggest brands like TVS, Phillips, Onida, Godrej, and Videocon. In his current role at Hamilton, Girish spearheads the marketing function of the iconic brand Milton.
When talking about OAA, Girish said “The (OAA) awards are a validation of the various brand strategies used to amplify their communication creatively and effectively. Since there are no robust metrics to track the efficacy of the medium, this award helps to give it the due credit”.
Having spent more than 27 years in the industry, Girish has witnessed the change in media consumption and hopes to see some exciting work in this year’s contest. He said, “I hope to see campaigns that are innovative and at the same time help break the clutter on the OOH media landscape”.
Girish believes that being a part of the Jury is mutually beneficial: “I am a firm believer that OOH is a very good amplifying medium, especially for traditional brands where the objective is to build awareness and being a part of the OAA jury will definitely help me as a marketer to align the brand’s thinking in my own work”.
