I-Day celebrations straddle OOH canvas
Media4growth spotted a few OOH campaigns launched to commemorate the 72nd Independence Day
Till now, digital ads and YouTube films have been a clear shot source for brands to connect with the masses during Independence Day but the trend seems to be catching up onto OOH medium where a few brands tied up their brand promotions with I-Day messaging. Here are a few campaigns spotted this year:
Stonex
The exquisite marble brand communicated about the Independence Day through a subtle message. Showcasing a person running with the National Flag with a message ‘Our Country Our Independence’ — ‘Two things we cherish- more than our marble’.
Radio Mirchi
To mark the occasion of 72nd Independence Day, on the eve of August 15, 2018 the brand launched the ‘Teen Rang Humaare’ that saw the unfurling of the biggest National Flag in the city of Kolkata. The idea behind this was to engage with people across sections. The entire initiative was the radio station’s tribute to the unsung heroes of the nation.
FCB Ulka
The creative agency in association with Aaren executed a hoarding with real whistles. The message stated that ‘A Day of Silence for our martyrs: We gave up our whistles. You give you the horn. The social message was spotted in Mumbai Girgaum Chowpatty Junction targeted at stopping honking.
