SDMC likely to permit digital screens on mall facade
The civic body will permit both static and dynamic displays on the digital screens on mall façade; the approval currently pending with the legislative house
Malls falling under the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) jurisdiction are likely to get the permission to install digital formats on their facades as the corporation has already approved the bill though an approval for the same from the legislative house is awaited. The digital formats with static display will have a fee of Rs. 400 per sq.ft and screens with moving display will be charged double the fee of static display.
Confirming this development, Prem Shankar Jha, Deputy Commissioner, SDMC, told M4G, “Our Corporation which convinced the Supreme Court for approval for digital OOH display in Delhi is going to allow digital format on mall facades as well along with digital displays in markets and on roadside. However, the final approval is pending with the House and we are pretty confident about it”.
The permissions to the malls or media vendors will be allotted once it is approved.
