Promote new OOH formats, tighten regulations across markets: Industry leaders @ OAC
An open house was conducting on day 2 of the Outdoor Advertising Convention 2015 that was held in Mumbai during July 24-25. In this session, the delegates formed groups to discuss how to accelerate OOH growth in cities excluding Delhi and Mumbai.
• Leverage the growth opportunities that development of smart cities will yield
• Remove all illegal / unauthorised sites
• Build strong industry association in all markets
• Introduce uniform outdoor policies across different markets and tighten the regulatory norms
• Ensure the safety and well-being of people working in the OOH industry
• Introduce IOAA awards to recognise good work done in the regional markets
• Promote street furniture development in the cities and town on the lines of Delhi and Mumbai; interact with the local authorities for the same
• Work with IOAA to institute training programmes for industry professionals working in the different markets
• Discourage short-duration campaigns
• Think social – focus upon social communication
• Promote campaigns in regional languages
• Develop transit media across markets
• Build consumer connects through activation
• Develop’chowk’ /’gol chakkar’ and’haat’ branding
• Create OOH packages based on local festivals
• Link OOH with social media
