Cosign India launches COTEX Textile offering a wide range of recyclable printable material for multiple applications. The COTEX has variants available in Back-lit, 100 % Blockout, Canvas and Display textiles. The media is able to give a premium look to the applications, which makes it a perfect to use for various branding and advertising purposes available such as in malls, corporate offices, metros, and hospitality chains. Their new fabric range is 100% polyester which are recyclable and with the finest quality. These materials are available in different sizes and supports different printing technologies i.e. UV, HP Latex, Dye Sublimation and eco-solvent as per the requirement. All their products are fire retardant with B1 certification.
“The idea of launching printable fabrics came to us purely from the research we had invested in. Being in the display market for so many years, we have seen the potential of printable textiles emerging as a trend across the global market and not only in India. Undoubtedly, people are more responsible now when it comes to giving back to the environment, hence in some industries, people are more inclined towards recyclable products”, shares the COTEX official spokesperson.
After building an established market for indoor materials, the company has plans to unveil a new set of material for the outdoor advertising which are in the pipeline currently. “Our outdoor products are currently under testing and we should hopefully be able to launch them soon”, says spokesperson. Talking about the huge scope for printable material in the outdoor space, the spokesperson shares, “The future of the printable textile industry is going to be huge. Right now, the Indian market is slowly getting into the practice of using fabric as printable media for indoors. Gradually with acceptance and technological intervention, the fabric will make its place in bigger sizes for outdoor usage”. Currently, the fabric is largely used for flags and banners from OOH perspective.
Agreeing to the fact that price-point is the biggest concern with regards to the fabric material in the market, COTEX has been kept at a very competitive pricing to suit the India market.
While there are various companies venturing into the fabric material space which are offering different qualities, applications and a range of possibilities. But according to the spokesperson the basic and key features that any brand should consider is it should be Crease-free so that it is easy to ship across India, be able to offer Consistent quality, definitely a Fire retardant and lastly the material should be suitable for selected ink range such as UV, dye sublimation etc.
